This exciting standard has been developed by industry for industry to develop the next generation of wood product manufacturers.

The wood product manufacturing operative apprenticeship standard has been designed by employers for those in the manufacturing sector, producing wood products for the construction and furniture industries.

What are the end-point assessment requirements

End-point assessment involves three components:

  1. A workplace observation of 3 hours that will observe the apprentice carrying out a set of activities
  2. An interview underpinned by ‘Portfolio of evidence’
  3. A multiple-choice test that can be taken in the workplace or at an assessment centre

It will result in a combined grade of pass or distinction.
