Bespoke Furniture Maker apprenticeship standard

Bespoke Furniture Makers work with a variety of materials to produce bespoke pieces of furniture to meet their customers’ requirements

Highly skilled individuals creating masterpieces for residential accommodation, office and commercial settings. Furniture Makers interact with a range of colleagues including designers, production managers, quality technicians, production leaders and product developers.

What are the end-point assessment requirements

End-point assessment involves three components:

  1. A 45-minute multiple-choice test under controlled conditions
  2. A workplace observation of 3 hours that will observe the apprentice carrying out a set of activities. The independent assessor will ask a minimum of six specific questions during the observation
  3. A professional discussion underpinned by a ‘Portfolio of evidence’

It will result in a combined grade of pass or distinction.
